Family
Family, an extension of self
Made in the image of ones creator
"The One" with power to regenerate
We all resemble
Have certain traits
Big noses, full lips
A seemingly hateful stare
Common traits link us
Down through time
Got Red-man's blood too
From a number of native clans
My forebears stood on the shore
Watching the deliverers land
Palm branch in hand
Peace on their lips
They tricked us!
Took our lands of kin
Places where they lie
Earth soaked with our blood
Of defiance
How many of us are there?
How many were we?
Back through the annals of time
Erased by our lack of importance
To those we sometimes linked with
All the time not by choice
Dehumanizing, the feeling stretches
Through countless generations
Violence brims forth from my soul
Vengeance will be mine
