Lonely Tear

Lonely Tear

Why can't I see what is right in front of me. My thoughts speed by, all a blur.
Lost in thought don't know what I'm thinking.
Shattered dreams, hopeless endings. All this work, I still have no idea which direction is right. No ways to turn and no light at the end. My legs are moving as fast as I can, my body yet to move an inch.
I'm screaming inside so no one can hear,a smile on my face and a lonely tear...

Excellent description. Life's burdens pile on, and there rarely seems to be any light at the end of the tunnel. You can almost feel the hopelessness oozing from this one.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
