Last Glimpse

Last Glimpse

Timeless moments bound by time
their end begins a new sorrow
Fading quickly one by one
Expecting more tomorrow

A circumstance so unforseen
holds back therepeating memory
The expectations strongly grow
And leave the heart so weary

A stream of light, a ray bursts forth
to lessen the burden carried
When time allows another chance
for the only hope that tarried.

I must admit that after reading Trevon's observation....I had to reread this write and adapt my comments accordingly....and he is so right about the visual description that mirrors nature....you almost see it from seed to growth or season to season....at first I was only going to comment on how I felt a passage of time with a view from the front seat....lol....but his depiction was so much more dead on....nicely done...Cher

I like your reference to natures fury in your poems. I to like the rage of a good storm. Continue to write and I will enjoy reading them.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
