Poem Commentary

Self Doubt and inner conflict rule this piece...

Jump Already!

Jump Already

You dance around the precipice

Made of thin and slippery ice

There’s saftey along the outer edge

But how you long for the abyss.

What do you do?

You dare to dream of a different life

Goodbye to what you’ve always known

Hello to something new

The edge of the sharpest knife.

What do you do?

The blade glitters in the moonlight

As you ponder this and that

Do you sever the umbilcal?

Is this way wrong or that way right?

What do you do?

The question is a puzzling ring

No beginning and no end

Do you stay or do you go?

Feel the safety or feel the sting?

You do what you always do..

 You dance around the precipice

Made of thin and slippery ice.

There’s saftey at the outer edge

Oh…

How

You

Long for the

Abyss……

Fear..... it holds us back every single time! Because of it we stick to what we know, what's comfortable and dare to do something different.

This original, and fun. I hear on the theme, there's way to many chicken heads. Good Write, thanks for the comments on mine, :)

No Kidding! Nothing like circle jerking mediocrity eh'?

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
