Jesus, Stranger in the Manger
A BABY IS BORN FROM God to lead
King Herod is afraid for his position
He slaughters babies as his recourse
To help disrupt God’s plan for His creation.
Jesus – Stranger in the Manger
THE SPIRIT OF Herod is evident today
Through abortion, the unborn are killed
We’re not relishing life freely given
And the voice from the manger is stilled.
Jesus – Stranger in the Manger
IN HIS HOMETOWN of Nazareth
It is there people turn their backs
Not caring who He is, or the Word He gives
Throwing insults and plans of attack
Jesus, Stranger in the Manger
IN JERUSALEM, the plans are made
Stoning is the idea to implement
Quenching this life so sacred
To kill the Word that was Heavenly sent.
Jesus – Stranger in the Manger
THE U.N. GATHERS to promote harmony
Nations who care for wars to cease
Jesus is not a member – other gods are there,
So, how can they possibly promote peace?
Jesus, Stranger in the Manger
IN THE BODY OF believers, prayer is there
Yet, the blood of Christ not recognized
No purification, cleansing, or protecting
Covered over by a different disguise.
Jesus, Stranger in the Manger
HE HANGS ON the cross to die.
No more does He have to roam
For there is where He is known by all
This is where, for many, He is home.
So……. He remains………
Jesus – Stranger in the Manger
