Honesty
Honesty is the virtue of the soul
When it comes about, the gossamer veil is lifted
The senses become clearer
The meaning of existence loses its value
Although the grass becomes greener,
The sky becomes bluer, and the eyes of the people tell all
The clouds descend downward upon truth and goodness
Kindness and charity become mutilated
And one is left with desperate wanting
For sharing becomes non existent
Seeing one's bare soul is frightening
Admitting every flaw and having to reconcile with it is painful
Yet one can never go back once the ray of truth has bared itself
I am all alone in this world of mine,
And I shall remain alone
For my thoughts can never be invaded
And yet there is no comfort in my solitude
Is there a reason for my existence?
Or shall I continue in this vacuum until I cease to be
There is no God, there is no right or wrong, there is no path,
There is only superficial movement and like a robot
I shall perform and function
Until the cloud of death envelopes me and releases me from my commitment
Is it then that I shall find peace?
No! there is no peace either
