    Girl, I Am Feelin' You

    Girl, I am feelin’ you…

When the load that you carry is too much to bear
Because your shoulders hold the weight of the world
When you reach out for love and no one is there
You know that I’m feelin’ you, girl.

    Girl, I am feelin’ you…

Like the rain from the heavens that runs down my face
Or the gentle pitter-patter on the ceiling
Like the comfort and warmth of a lover’s embrace
Girl, it is you that I’m feelin’

    Girl, I am feelin’ you…

I see what you’ve accomplished as a woman and a mother
With all the ups and downs you’ve been through
Still you have the strength to care for yourself and another
Girl, I am definitely feelin’ you!

    Girl, I admire you.
All the time, Girl, I want you.
    Girl, I desire you.
Now that you’re mine, Girl, I flaunt you.

    Girl, I am kissin’ you.
If you’re hurt, Girl, I am healin’ you.
    Girl, I am missin’ you.
To be short, Girl, I’m feelin’ you!

A great love poem! Makes me feel like I want to be that "girl." Maybe in my next life...

Really nice! I like the line, "Because your shoulders hold the weight of the world"...it sure feels like that some times doesn't it?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
