    Flowing Over To You

    My joy overflows its fountain
    Seeping into the brick wall
    It moistens tired old cement
And even turns your frown away.
This water follows the dirt road
    And seeks for someone forgotten
    By the old train station,
    And still that little child
    Who cries in the park
    That water overflows his
    Tiny little feet,
    Finding any crevice,
    Or anyone with a hint
    Of yesterday's smile.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
