Don't Need You
You told me you cared, you told me I was the one, another girl walks by and we're done. Yet you come back to me to try and make me smile, yet she calls and you run wild.
I don't get you and yet you keep coming back for more. I tried real hard to close that door. What do you want from me, why hold on, just leave and please let me alone. I can't take your pain, I can't read your mind, tell me before you run out of time.
The clouds grow cold and the sky gets dark, you are coming here to break my heart, what do you want to tell me and what are you trying to say, just please turn and walk away!
Thunder now and lighting too, you came to tell me that we are through. You hold me close, you hold me near, you whisper you love me in my ear.
For one more night you hold me tight, for one more night you took my pain, and after that night it started to rain.
Two months go by and not a sound, then when you see me, you turned around. Didn't expect to see me like this, tall, strong, and pregnant!
You no longer can hurt me, you no longer can steal my pride, so now I tell you to step aside. I got a ride.
