DIWALI
DIWALI
THIS is a day – Deepawali day
Most of the Hindus will be coming to nativity
Homes with their kith and kilns used to meet
Close relatives and friends
On the eve of the festival illumination of building
Walls give a happy look like heaven
Grandma makes the Home a very active place
Preparing multiple varieties of sweets and dishes
On the eve of the workers returning home
Handful of money as bonus; new clothes for
Father mother and everybody sparklers crackers
And fancy fireworks are also a must one
Before the sunrise of Deepawali fireworks takes
The sound display in different kinds sparklers too
My mother placed oil head to me for oil bath
Even though every Wednesday-Saturday used to do
This day is something special of the year
To have freeness on happiness adopting the festival
On remembrance of the devilish death of Asuran, so
Heard in the history
All are gathered and dinned today having the pleasure
Around, old and young and children are delighted
We invite Deepawali for its highness to bring
Lights to drive darkness away in our Home and Mind too
