Festival at Native Temple (Parivettai) - 4
Parivettai 4
The small river is running with little water flow
At the southern side east to west, the rhyming
Sound is very pleasant to hear, the wind is passing
Through the branches of trees making a music
Sound added merit to the temple atmosphere,
An old grandmother is singing a song
That rhymes from her voice call it thalattu to make
The child to sleep in the hanging cradle of the tree
There are fifty-one divine powers are established
Those are known and devised by the Authi Guru
And being followed even now regular
Rites and responsibilities are same for ever
God Shiva has given his half portion to his consort
Shakti – Kamakshi, both are united and jointly
Giving appearance to save the world and their
Formations all
In the temple Guru is mainly doing pooja
His fellow hands render help for his performance
But he is the only person can go inside the Karuvarai
In due honor and respect
Inside the temple at northeast place Kalumaram
Is seen in pair with pointed tip as in those days
Early period punishment to death was activated
In a cruel way by this, now this is abolished
Now a day this is standing as symbol and being treated as Shakti
And Shiva, Decorations are made, Guru is doing pooja
To the kalumaram, Devotees who all want to give dhotis and clothes
Started their handing over to Guru who is placing on them
Similar offers are made to Nandi Devan handing over cloths
One after another devotee as they have developed offer
In their mind to fulfill commitments, guru will take care of the
Things and clothes as usage for him and his subordinates
Guru has to offer Pongal made of rice to divines
And the preparations are very much taken care
Taking one round black bannai made out of thick
Black clay especially for this
Black pots are placed on tripods used to set fire by
Dry woods, keeping sufficient water gets boiled
Rice is cleaned and put by hands nicely, in a few
Moments the Pongal is formed with regular forms
Pongal badayal is made to the divines all the fifty one
And started Parivettai almost it is crossing midnight
In the way of passing time a group of dancing or drama
Programs are shown at the separate stage is ended to join
The Parivettai festival
