Pongalo pongal

It gives me immense happiness in mind

And it is good a begin a new in life

Performing pongal is very interesting

As it is customary making a small fire making stand

Loading a new pot made of clay

That is filled with water fresh

Harvest is given a good beginning as the house wives

Prepared the rice nicely and started the cooking

By the time of sunrise at the front of home

Decoratively placing cane sugar in the form of full stick

Fresh from the farm and other articles devoted for the festival

As an very much important day of farmers

All of the family members are gathered in new clothes  

We have invited neighbors too like relations

Taking part in the happy occasion

Water in the pot will start boiling the rice

Some other things like making sweet sugar candy

 Pieces are added nicely

 Everyone is watching in which direction

The content is sliding down from the edge opf tghe pot

It is sliding down on north  as it is a good sign

Everybody is making voice rhythmically singing song

And as the pongal attained the final look

The pot is released from the furnace and

Placed in a good place for making pooja to sun god

All prayers are for the prosperity, and we started to share
