Death;

Death;

A shivering breeze soars through the wind
The trail of cigarette smoke following after
The feeling of emptiness makes her body cringe
No sound of joy, No sound of laughter
She stands there, staring at the stone hearts
Tears hiding their shy faces
Clouds above, captured the sun
She lowers her cigarette, patting it gently
The ashes fall, in what seems like slow motion
A black corset, tutu with ripped leggings, and converse
The outcast of the family
Only one ever  cared
She bends down and places the rose down gently
She wipes away the tears and walks ahead
Never looking back again.

Thank yoouu!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
