    candle in hand

my candle burns at both ends
for it was light at the same time
but i must hold it firmly and carefully
for if i don't hold it firmly,it would be put off
and if i don't hold it crefully,i would burn
this is my life and i must choose the way i would mould it
for which ever way i choose to mould it like my candle
i eather have to gain or loose at the end

I get from this poem that you have to maintain a balance. If you don't light the candle from both ends and maintain a firm cautious grip, you will be unbalanced and fall on either side. I like............. and relate.

the meaning I gather from this writing is one in love with two people...and the balance must be maintained to avoid the pain of lost love....twice over... "it was light" I believe should be "it was lit" "It could be put off" I believe should be "it would be put out: mould should be mold eather should be either I do hope my comments are taken in the light it is given...helpful critique... hoping for the same if you chose to read some of mine...

I love how you compare life to a candle that burns at both ends. It is so true however that in order to gain anything you have to lose something in return...to gain or lose at the end. Short and sweet but beautiful! DQ
