BEYONDE REASON
BEYOND REASON
I took a trip one day beyond reason,But there was still a shadow of a doubt I wouldn't make it,
And I was running out of time,
The hands of the hourglass were disturbing,
As the sand slowly ticked with each second,
I realized I have been here before,
Everything was five by five, Yet I was a foot taller,
And my shoes didn't fit,
I was a distorted vision in a pane of glass,
Mirrored in a milky glaze of bouncing images,
I could not grasp,
The expiration date was getting closer,
As I began to fall between what was simple to extraordinary,
Landing on my feet like a cat,
The stature of my presence gave me directions,
Yet I was all thumbs and couldn't make heads or tails,
Out of my predicament,
Least alone as I spiraled out of sight,
Adding up all the factors till it equaled zero,
Then the eggshells I was precariously balanced on, Broke,
The sound was deafening as we raced side by side,
I was thrown without reason, I hadn't a thought,
So I just stood here shaking my head..........
