ALL THAT I HAVE LOST
ALL THAT I HAVE LOST
You seem to find the things in life that make it all worth itBut if you read between the lines, Look behind the curtain,
Come face to face with all that you are, You fall so short,
And when you fall, You break into a million pieces,
Each one a reflection of what you are, could be or should have been,
Putting them back together, seeing what fits,
Is like putting a sign around your neck, OUT OF ORDER,
Stated so perfectly, with all the benign contempt you hold,
And the realization that everything you thought was real,
Was indeed as fake as you and everything around you,
So what have I lost that I can't live without,
Dreams seem to fade, Love never lingers,
A lonely heart never beats,......... Love?
You stand in a doorway, You either enter or leave,
Leave what was and return, Or enter to find what will be,
Knowing full well that you have already lost,
What you can never find again,
So you stand there, Trapped, Lost and Alone.......
