O great gift of power and will

Thou has entrusted us forever

To become agents unto ourselves

And choose good over the evil one

Our eyes were opened into greater light

As we choose to follow thine precepts

Our eyes were dimmed by darkness

As we disobey thine commandments

Thou has redeemed as from the fall

Thou has overcome the demands of justice

The way for us to be cleansed from sin

And choose the path that leads to thee again

O guide us know thine will forever

Through thine Holy Spirit of truth

And choose not the will of the flesh

As the devil desires for it

Help us discern the good from the evil

That sin may not engulf us to death

And lead us away from thee

For in thee our soul will forever live

 To whom will our choices be patterned?

Even unto Christ our Lord our Savior

The perfect example of the wise use of agency

As He submit to his Father’s will alone

May we then follow thine precepts

And walk with thee each day

That at last we may stand approved

Before thee on thy Judgment Day
