    “Inside The Darkness”

    As the darkness holds me

I fear I will not wake

Not only do I doubt my will

But all that I can take

    Seemingly as it seems

    I still seem to dream

    Bad things, good things

Things I wish I’d never seen

Never a hand to help me

    Or any easy release

    Never does the torment end

    And never does it cease

I’m hollowed by the waking light

    Greatful for not being dead

Preparing for what is to come

    What darkness lies ahead

This is a good one - you have a nice grasp of rhythm as well as rhyme. Nice work

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
