“Future Untold”

“Future Untold”

Wonders are whispered often

For whom there is to hear

If things not meant for you to know

Then parts may be unclear

Foretold of what is coming

But never have been seen

Still contemplating all the thoughts

And what they really mean

Visions of what the future holds

Are truly never real

We have a chance to choose our fates

So life is never sealed

With all the ways we have to know

And base on to believe

Do not be blind to what can change

Never to be deceived

II really like this poem but wonder if the second line of the last paragraph could read: "And based on what to believe..." I could be wrong but it just seems something is missing. Otherwise a nice poem.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
