    A Florida Vacation

The couple decide they were getting too old,
to take anymore of Minnesota's biting cold.
Adecision was made; instead of waiting the duration,
they would go to Florida for a mini vacation.
They couldn't leave on the same day,
the husband went ahead to pave the way.
He made it down to Florida and checked into a hotel,
opened up his laptop and sent his wife an email.
The other part of this story,
is about a preacher who went to his glory,
    When his widow arrived home,
she went to her computer alone.
She was checking for email from relatives and friends,
who weren't able to be there for the end.
Back in Florida the man was on the phone.
He was talking to his wife who just got home.
She said there was no email and that she had to fly.
He looked in the sent file to determine why?
He saw a typing message on the message he sent.
He knew that someone somewhere was wondering what it meant.
Meanwhile cross the country the widow screamed and passed out on the floor.
Her son ran through the house and opened up the door.
He wondered what the email said that upset his mother.
He read the email on the screen and there wasn't any other.
    To my loving wife,
I've just checked in, love of my life.
Everything is ready for your arrival tomorrow.
Look forward to seeing you, until then I'm in sorrow.
    Your devoted husband, dear.
P.S. Sure is hot down here.

Great piece use of life experience and beauty all wrapped into one. Beautiful.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
