    A Child Called Rain

    Rain, Rain,
    Go away...
    Come again
    ...another day
    A childhood song,
    we've all sang
    Childhood dreams,
    washed away...
    That was then,
    this is now...
    A new song I sing,
    about a child...
    a child called Rain
    All the storms...
    surrounding Rain
    ...lightening flashing
    thru my life
    Strong winds blowing
    ...changing my path
    leading me...
    guiding me...
    without me knowing
    I ride it out...
    ride out the storm
    I wake one day...
    and I realize
    The storm is gone...
    I'm all alone
    The sun is shining
    ...rainbows glow
    all the beauty...
    all the love...
    I used to know
    Seeds that were planted
    ...Rain makes grow
    Rain and sunshine...
    beneath a sweet rainbow
    The sun that shines
    ...in this heart of mine
    a child called Rain,
    a child by any name,
    the love I feel...
    the song I sing...
    Rain, Rain,
    come my way...
    come back and see me,
    come, anyday...

I think all of us know a child named Rain. Your poem expressed both love and hope for them past the storms of their childhood.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
