    Poem Commentary

Not meant to be taken in a weird or gothic way...I originally wrote Black Cat as a Halloween thing, kinda revisiting and re-writing stuff...I have over 600 but when I look back, I remember and know each and every one...

    Black Cat

    Black Cat...

    Black cat.......

    struttin in the nite,

    evil in his eyes...

    evil in his crys...

    a hallowed sound,

    an evil walking...

    struttin on evil ground...

    Hiding in the dark,

    waiting for prey...

    waiting to devour,

    with his evil heart...

    waiting for the hour,

    with his evil ways...

    Black cat.......

    struttin thru town,

    struttin so quietly...

    sneaking without a sound

    It's his nite...

    his time of the year,

    to cross many paths,

    to cause great fear...

    Black cat.......

    his hallowed cry,

    the silence of his feet,

    as he walks by...

    He aint what he seems,

    what he hides deep inside...

    He's just trying to trick

    trying to defeat...

    waiting for the hour,

    of his evil power...

    When the moon is high,

    all the stars hiding,

    hiding in the night...

    such an evil,

    struttin thru town...

    Black cat walking,

    on evil ground....

    Hear his crys,

    in the midnite hour...

    an evil sound,

    stuttin thru the streets...

    looking to devour,

    anyone he meets...

    Watch where you step,

    walking under a full moon...

    look around corners,

    don't step to soon...

    Black Cat waits,

    he waits for you....

    with all his evil crys,

    with all his evil lies...

    Watch what you think,

    careful what you dream...

    This I tell you,

I know it to be true...

    The black cat hides,

    he hides in you...

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
