    Only A Man

     

    Young and free...

    what I used to be

    Old and gray...

    facing each new day

    A life that was...

    a life when...

    that was then,

    this is now...

    I'm only a man,

    ...tired and old

    singing a song...

    a story untold

    Like a star...

    a star burning...

    falling...

    falling from the sky,

    no reason how,

    no reason why...

    like an angel falling,

    an angel without wings

    ...reaching out

    ...calling

    no one to hear...

    no one to listen...

    to the song I sing...

    All my failures,

    dreams undone...

    I'm only a man,

    doing the best I can...

    tired and old,

    ...old and gray

    just trying to wake...

    and face each new day
