YOUR FAKE

YOUR FAKE

You call yourself a friend
I'm not sure why
You said you'd always be there
That was just a lie

I thought you really cared
You led me on
I really should have known better
Cause now you are gone

You got all you wanted
Then ran from me
I remember the day it ended
It's fresh in my memory

I gave you so much
All you could take
You always took me for granted
It wasn't for my sake

Why say I love you
You didn't mean it
I see how fake you are
I guess the shoes fit

I mean nothing to you
Even though I am always true

wrote about something similar. The poem was about fake pesonality

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
