    You

My soul rejoices at your return
    For you
    Deep within I yearn
    My eyes behold you
    They travel to and fro
The man I want to know

    I hear you silent voice
    To your words I surrender
    As if by choice
Everything feels so young on this page
    So dance with me
    across this stage

My shadow stands still in the wind
As if my soul has never sinned
    I breathe the air
    And I want you there
    Coming closer to me

    Your soul
    Deep as the sea
    I'm finding you
    and you're finding me

On this stage that I dance across
    In you
I know that I am lost
My lips want to kiss you
    Something true and sweet
My heart demands to guide my feet

Like a ship I know you will sail away
    My being dreads that day
Until that time . . . may fate withhold
You will always be my love
    of old . . .

Very beautiful poem.Excellent imagery and analogies.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
