    You Come Naturally To Me

Despair darkens my doorway once more
This time I bring forth not remorse
My world, Atlas could not carry
Yet I fly free and without course
These words come so easily from my pen
    My thoughts... enraptured by you
My tongue seems not such a poetic verse
So perhaps my feelings here will provide a clue
There is no hint of sadness in me
I have only the joy of your love you keep giving
There has been life without you and still could be
But that, for me, would just not be living
I feel a question may soon come to pass
An enigma it's not, it is the BIG one you see
Forever with you is not nearly long enough
But to keep me forever, you have to ask me
The hardest thing for me is finding the words
To express what I feel inside me
The easiest thing for me is loving you
My love for you just comes naturally

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
