    WOE TO YOU MOTHER AFRICA

    Africa my cheerful heart
The land of outstanding appreciation and fond
    Full of tremendous cultural excitement
    Africa (Nigeria) my motherland

Why have you slander my reputation?
My beautiful texture you made it enigma
    Your jiggery attitude
Has jettison my must precious treasure

Your lamp of peace to men
Has become a vulnerable and virulent grief to me
Living me in a traumatic quagmire
To search for peace in the land of emptiness

    What an atrocious pain
    In my wounded soul
The suffering has risen again to countless…..
The screaming continues to thousand misfortunate….

Love lies bleeding in my heart
    Piercing through my soul
    Causing emotional trauma to me
Is that the end of happiness?

As you’d decide to ceased all freedom
    To your own vanities
Causing tears and bitterness to the hopeless
Now the fittest survive your greedy conscience

Emptiness has become the joy of the unfit
    Accepting pains as their faith
When will there be changes, today or tomorrow?
As more sorrow is yet to come
To increase the sadness of the day

    There will never be peace
    Nor will there be success
    Because all you think of
    Is satisfying your own joy

    Forgotten where you misplace others
Said, why am I supposed to live?
    When I am already dead
How much sorrow I am supposed to go through

    Because your dreadful heart
    Thinks of it only self
Forgetting millions of people depend on you
    Woe to you mother Africa
For you fail to do the right thing

    Soul passion

I am intrigued. I have no "world view", I am oblivious to most of what goes on outside of my borders. I can't help but feel that I am missing part of what this experience could be. Very passionately written. Passionate enough to make an outsider feel....something.

There is a level of pride and sorrow for Mother Africa. I connected with this as a Sierra Leonean born American raised woman. The majesty and the suffering that is the dynamic of Africa which you've captured here. Bravo!

I hope my " THe courage to send u this letter" compliments this poem the way i wanted it too. My poems are more so read the meaning behind the emotion instead of taking them at face value. either way i hope u like

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
