~Winters embrace~
Lost in winters embrace,
today the cold is all I can taste.
Old man winters blows his might,
I thank God I have a home for the night.
The trees sway to the wind,
as the snow covers the land.
Feeling the ground frozen cold,
my fingers are stiff growing old.
Living on a desperation ride,
missing the gulf of Mexico's s tide.
Looking only at gray in the sky,
my solitude is where today I hide.
longing to see the golden sun,
she seems to be gone on the run.
cabin fever is starting to set in,
as i watch the snow flakes dance in the wind.
longing to see the color of green,
but white is the only color that I see..
dreaming of summers golden days,
lost here typing in the in the haze.
tomorrow the ground hog will tell,
if there is six weeks left of cold hell..
