    a birthday present for a friend named Sky.

    sky

     i thank you for believing in me,
    not just another day i wake and see.
    i thank you for being my friend,
    i was once lost but now i am found again.
    i thank you for the fire in your eyes,
    you show me once again,
    that life is worth living,
    and not to give up lifes rite.
    i thank you for pulling me in,
    showing me that i have a reason,
    not to give up and live again.
    I thank you for lifting my head,
    and reminding me that the stars,
    shine above again.
    i thank you for showing me,
    the beauty of the sky,
    and showing me once again,
    life is made of beautiful color,
    not just the darkness of the night.
    i thank you with all of my heart,
    you taught me to feel again,
    unthawing my frozen heart.
    i thank you for kindness, respect, and trust,
    without you reminding me,
    my soul would sit empty,
    dusty and starting to rust.
    but the most important thank you i give,
    is for holding my head up high,
    and showing me there is nothing,
    more beautiful than the one,
    i know as sky..

    Hey Bud .. Its been a Long time.I see you still are writing and this one is a great tribute to a friend as well .. This is the InkMaster that I remember .. A poet with heart .. Great write and read man ... Write-On! :) Ken
