Who Am I? What Have I Become?

Who Am I? What Have I Become?

Who am I? What have I become?
Have I forgotton how it feels to be less than number one?
Why is it so, that everything has to be my way?
Why is it so, that I have to have not the last, but the only say?

Why don't I listen, instead of always wanting to be listened to?
Why don't I listen instead of stealing all of the light from my equal,
Who am I? What have I become?
Have I forgotten how I was raised? Have I forgotton where I came from?

Have I lost one of my senses, the feeling beyond physical touch?
Have I forgotton how I want to be treated, that I have to treat others just as such?
Why does it take for one to lose, all of the things that they truely love?
To know that they had great blessings, straight from the man above,

Why is it that we seek for what is right in front of our eyes,
But we miss it every time, as if this thing is in disguise,
No matter what it is, our eyes glance, but never focus,
We let our eyes get distracted by the things that we feel is closest,

To our hearts but in terms its really with our mind,
But we realize how wrong we are, within different lenghs of time,
Then when we finally realize our mistakes, and how we were so dumb,
We ask ourself these questions, Who Am I? What Have I Become?

To all those who feel me, and what I'm trying to say,
Hopefully this will inspire you to tighten up and cease with the silly play,
Because if you don't tighten up and become a man in your own home,
You will be left with these questions, "Who Am I? What Have I Become? Why Am I Alone?

Excellent write full of wisdom if one only opens their eyes to see what is right in front of them.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
