Dedication To The One That I Can't Have

Dedication To The One I Can't Have

I'm so sorry for hurting you,
For letting you go to sleep feeling so blue,
My intentions were of a greater cause,
& I'm sorry for letting your heart fall,
Its early in the morning & I can't really even sleep,
Cause I know how much you’re hurting & I wish I could be there to rub your feet,
While you relax & you chill, & I'm serving you a midnight meal,
I know I left you feeling that I wasn't the real deal,
I'm hurt cause I hurt you, please forgive my mistake,
But to get back on the right course with you, I 'm going to do everything it takes,
Ur such a beauty, an angel, & u really make my bells ring,
With such a heavenly sweet voice, even though I've never heard you sing,
Never herd your words, a sentence, or even a fragment of grammar,
But its implanted in my head, harder than a nail takes from a hammer,
That I truly do care for you, so listen to this letter,
I truly do care for you, & I wish that we would have met on better,
Terms so u could have been, my girl & my wife,
But we still have each other, a part of our blessed life,
& I still want to make love to you, if only jus this one time,
Because within these last few days, I have built so strong of a bond,,
This I urge for you deeply,
From when I wake till when I'm sleepy
I know I sound selfish,
& I wish that I could help this,
But your lips, to your eyes, so intimately divine,
To your breast & your hips, so sweetly combined,
I wish I could go back, to the beginning of our strings of time,
So I could make sure that our radiant strings are so elegantly combined,
But I accept what we have, we have realness & we are true,
& so with the end of this poem, I dedicate my love to you.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
