Where is happiness

Poem Commentary

If you find it and can hang on, good for you.

Where is happiness

Where is happiness

In one second you see it

In one moment you live it

In one chance you blow it

You see it falling away from you

As you fall spiralling

You see it running from you

As other are brought to kneel

The unsettling feeling of

Life

Being drained from you

Spreads until Rock Bottom is reached

No where to go but up

Happiness is up

But not eternal

Happiness is a drug

So many yearn for

The high comes after much lifting

The crash comes down the next second

Happiness has no perfection

You should not seek it

Stay where you want to be

Maybe you won't feel the blood shed
