And unto the Earth
The fire was to burn away the darkThe water was to sooth the burn
The wind was to cleanse the land of the fire's carrion
And unto the Earth this order was bestowed
An order which brings forth the light
If only to create the dark
And unto the Earth
The fire was to burn away the darkIn science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
