    What is life?

Life is what you make it
    A stroll in the park
    A kiss in the dark
A quiet moment to reflect alone
It is feeling the breeze as it penetrates your skin
It is listening to the stillness of the night

Life is what you make it
It is that degree you worked so hard for
The house you bought with the swiming pool
The car you thought you would never drive

Life is the family you love so dearly
The blessings you receive each day
Life is God's precious gift to each and everyone of us

Life is being able to smile in the saddest times
To laugh when you feel like crying
To feel complete when you are all alone
To love in a world full of hate
To find a friend when you are surrounded by enemies

One day life will be snatched away
So live your life as if today is the last day.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
