    Just a Dream for Michael

    I had a dream once,
    that you came to me
    and said you loved me
    and always would

    I had a dream once
    where you kissed my lips
    and held me tight
    as if you always would

    Then awakened to find you're
    not there
    But still I know
    you'll always be near

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
