Poem Commentary

I wrote this for my scientist Steve Betz. He is one scientist that I am glad that is in the world. Like so many Americans I have met a wonderful person.

Universe

Universe

I wonder that in the Universe,

I know, brown dust

Has a story to tell.

More this "I'll show you fear in a handful of dust." Nothing of dust brings me fear more than truth.

Okay, I'll go along with that.............strict, but quaint. Truly well thought out, Paolo....................................................gogant

Greetings Gogant, from Italy. You understand! Science is strict; in the US, a country that I love as much as my own, science is under attack by some and ignored. But I realise that the aim of science if factual truth such as the Universe that is even in dust. Perhaps, here in this explanation, I have told too much, when my work typically asks you to determine a solution.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
