    To Live Again

When I think about you what do I say
Do I tell myself the truth or do I lie and turn away

When you think about me what do you say
Do you tell yourself its over or wish those words would go away

When I dream about you what do I see
Is it only a memory or things meant to be

When you dream about me what do you see
Is it the boy I was or the man I'm supposed to be

We're at a standstill, both in a place and time
when we need each other most, our past now far behind

Now in the present, caught in a dangerous rip tide
swimming sideways just trying to survive

The shore is distant but together we can fight

    To live again

    very nice

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
