    To: Grandma Pat

"As I lay me down to sleep,
    I pray the Lord,
    My soul to keep,
That if I die before I wake,
    I pray the Lord,
    My soul He'll take."
    You mean so much,
I love you dearly, I wish you wouldn't go,
    It feels too early,
    But I understand,
    That it may be time,
    For you to leave.
It's up to the Lord to decide whether you
    stay, or whether you go.
Either way, I love you so.
    If you do go,
This I will admit, it will be hard to say
goodbye to someone I've known my whole life.
May the Lord protect you all the way.
I love you Grandma, either way.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
