    Time Moves Forward

If I could turn back the hands of time
I'd remove you from my existence

I'd remove the pain you've brought into my tranquil state of being

I'd remove all the "I love you"s that I allowed to escape from my lips

Because you used those words, those emotions against me

My love for you that I HAD was a weapon that was used against me

A sword in life's battle used to slay the peace and happiness I held in my heart

    But time only moves forward
Each moment passed is a moment lost

It is unable to be lived again

But each moment passed is a lesson on life gained

Like time, we should never look back
    Just keeping moving forward

And that is exactly what I have done.
I have moved forward in life

Leaving you in the many lost moments that make up what we call "the past"

This Poem make me feel really great about myself and with the one who I'm in love with. Thank you so much for sharing this poem with all of us.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
