    Position Filled

He wants to be my Whatever
But to him I can only be nothing
Every position in his life has already been filled
    There are no vacancies
    No "HELP WANTED" signs posted.
He wants to be my Whatever
But can he be everything that I need?
    Everything I want or desire,
Whatever it is that I am longing for?
    I don't believe its possible.
I'm accepting no part time positions at the moment
And the PRN "as needed" positions have all been filled
Am I willing to create a new position for him in my life?
Do I really want him to be a part of my existence,
A piece in my puzzle of life?
Maybe I'll just hold on to his application
And file his resume in the "call back" section.
I don't think that I can risk settling for a worker who is only able to do half the job due to statistical disabilities.
Hold on to your day job for now sweetie,
I'll call you if I have any openings in the future...

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
