THIS CITY I PRAY
Our father from whom all blessings flow,
I come before you as your humble servant,
To lay all my cares concerns before you.
First I lay all these feelings that I have for this city and its people
Mostly because they are foremost in my thoughts;
All the feelings they have for me;
All the concerns that I have about living here,
born here, and the reality of today’s world
Father you know that all I want is a place after my own heart.
I lay everything at your feet.
Next I lay this house I bought because I thought I was going to live there,
And now I have no idea what to do with it.
I lay my children and their children before you,
I want their back to be straight more than I want anything else.
Father, I place my life before you.
Even though I get by I want to use my time productively and
Make conscious decisions and solid plans for the future
I want to contribute positively to this city and its people.
I place everything at your feet,
I am emptying myself of every care and concern.
I ask for wisdom and direction.
Father shows me what to do, your will be done
