The Tempest
Tempestuous....I fall in...
When I see your eyes...
knowing we can go no lower...
And it surely must be our time to rise.
I am hungry...
A hunger alive with only you.
I feel a raging storm of electricity...
Then like a frightened child, unsure what I should do...
I am starving...
My soul devours you whole...
Such a strong craving...so hard to let go....
And I want us to ride off into forever...sweet and slow.
Weeping...Sweeping...me away
I fall and get lost and I cannot play...
I bend...Do not break or fall away...
From this fire that burns the heart like a sacred tempest
It would be so sweet to simply get rest...
and feel like I could breathe...
You took my oxygen away...
Funny...I am worse off...When you come my way.
