The Present

The Present

Wrapped in the paper of unrequited love

Tainted with the victims of Inferno’s blood

Sealed with a promise to endure ever after

A present that shall never know its master

Patient election in a crowded space

Several bodyguards to even the pace

Leisure departure in an open light

Oblivious to the pursuit of life

Phantoms quickly emerged from the shadows

Swift and skilled, an implausible battle

Fierce and eminent to show no mercy

Affirming death with instant courtesy

Wrapped in the paper of unrequited love

Tainted with the victims of Inferno’s blood

Sealed with a promise to endure ever after

A present that shall never know its master

This was great, the theme, the rhythm. I'll have to read more of your works
