The Path of Love
Memories of pain intense and I looked to GodAnd I now know the path I've had to trod.
To learn to endure - to stand proud and strong
To suffer the ugliness in others so long.
To keep my sanity and still protect my soul
Deep in my heart I knew there was a goal.
God gave me the gift of unconditional love.
The spirit to fight, the inner peace of the dove.
He blessed me with guides to help lead my way.
Their love - all I had- helped me through each painful day.
Surrounded by horror and pain - a little girl lost.
Yet the path I've had to trod was well worth the cost.
In a special way I have always been blessed
Understanding, forgiveness - my gift - passed the test.
Forever standing alone I felt was meant for me.
To never know true love in all its purity.
For God made me special with a gift to understand
To feel the pain of others - to help them to withstand.
And the times my soul cried with loneliness so deep
There was no one to hear and my heart - blood would weep.
Through memories of pain intense, God had a plan.
To shape and to mold me to love just one man.
Through the pain I've reached out and a wolf heard my cry.
One man, the spirit of a wolf, touched my soul and helped me fly.
Surrounded by horror and pain - a woman once lost
Now knows that broken path was well worth the cost.
