The Flame

The Flame

Tied down by my own insecurities
Tripping over pride losing my sincerity
Drowning in the hate of what has become of me
Losing breath from the fights that I have in my dreams

Where am I going where the hell have I gone
Can I fix all the things that I have done wrong
I am happy cause I know that I am still alive
Bit it sucks cause Im living in this dark Lie

To all the kids who have no where else to go
Stay the course don’t you ever give up hope
But try your best because nothing here is free
That’s just the way things are in this society

The only way your gonna make it is to try
The times are tuff and were gonna bleed and cry
So leave your legacy in the book of life
Light a match if you want to stay alive

Light a match
Its to dark for me to see
Guide my path
Take me where I need to be
Don’t look back
Because you’ll never be set free
Light a match
I cant see

Nice 10 Nice gas to the fire... I like these lines So leave your legacy in the book of life Light a match if you want to stay alive Very good, I think like this always,

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
