That's What Love Is For....
That’s what love is for…
A gentle kiss so chaste upon your sweet lips, a warm loving embrace from deep inside, my precious heart, around you slips. Sometimes we make it harder than it is. We'll take a perfect night & fill it with words we don’t mean & we wonder why we're feeling this way. We've allowed ourselves to drift too far apart, too many others to come between us. Sometimes I do wonder if we really feel the same, how and why we can be so blind. We're always questioning the strongest of hearts, our own. To survive, we must start believing in the one thing that has gotten us this far...LOVE. That’s What Love Is For, to help us thru. It’s bringing us closer, me & you. No matter what we find to throw in its path, no matter how hard we try to deny it melts our foolish defenses, it brings us back to our senses. It will always give us strength to try once more. At times I see you & you don’t even know I am there. I'm washed away by emotions, long held, deep down inside that keep getting stronger with time. Living through these fires, we have, & holding on to each other we've found That's What our Love Is For. I saw you walking by yourself, a blessing, a dream made to find. Ask me how much I love you, you are my starlight. Even on the darkest night I will find the shining light of your heart. I believe in you and the special love we share, with the blessing from above, whenever you reach for me you know I will always be there. You take my hand, look into my eyes while you’re near, I hear the chorus that is your heart for me. Tell me what's really happening here. So many years come & gone & yet the memory is still this strong. One word we could never learn. See, we won’t ever say goodbye because our Love is frozen in time...Later on, when this fire is an ember, our nights will still be warm and tender. In our hearts we'll hold each other and remember....That’s What our Love Is For...
