Lost Love's Pulling Gaze
Subject: Lost Love’s Pulling Gaze
I sit & stare out a rain soaked window, in a moonless night. I stare into nothingness, just a memory of your sunny brite and heartwarming smile. Feelings swirl deep inside and churn through my life. I feel a pull deep in my soul and even deeper in my life, in a direction hundreds of miles away from the closest reality. I feel alone and desolate in my days, I burn them one by one to reach a future undefined and in determined of circumstance. The rain falls slow and steady in my mind’s eye, a slow rolling thunder across my mind. I soar higher and farther away to a place familiar and yet unknown.
Then I turn and your beautiful eyes shine back at me in the distant night, pools of desire, a place of peace, love and wonder. Your heart is like an embrace of warm honey. As I slip farther into your gaze it ignites my soul and we burn as one, brighter than the phoenix, a trail to lead my lost soul home. In yours gaze I am held through eternity, space, and time I feel our souls intertwined. Clouds break and stars blaze yet again I am returned whole and alive….
