Discarded.....
Discarded....
My most beloved heart, you ripped my soul from its nest in your heart of warmth & care.
My woe-full, unheard cries of longing, endless heart-wrenching loneliness, sleepless nites of mind-numbing despair & the searing pain of your callous, thoughtless, heartless rejection & desertion engulf my heart like the fire of Hades.
Even in its death my love foolishly burns like a star, yearning for its once heralded place in the haven of your heart & warm embrace.
As you walk along life’s path & pretend not to feel anything inside, for whom you once loved, you pull tighter around you the Shroud of Denial you have so intricately woven to block out the reasoning of your mind & comfort the ever-present ache & pull of our hearts.
Even now you still feel, yet blindly deny.
Ignorance is bliss, but with a price too permanent to pay w/ this foolish, precious heart...Yes... I still feel you...Day by day you carelessly discard precious moment after irreplaceable memory.
Treasures of your own time carefully built by our love, forever lost. Created by our lives entwined together by our own hands in the years we gave to one another.
Look back, into the eye of truth, love & the future of our beginning. Can you face it?
All that you've built, you've destroyed, one bitter brick at a time.
You hold to feeble excuses of self-righteous anger.
Desperate to convince yourself, if no one else, you accuse me, to justify your own deceit.
Your own defenses are worn thin by your own unreasonable logic.
Why all this just to drive a wedge b/t two destined hearts & anchor yourself in the midst of your own doubt?
Am I making a mistake or should I stand with my heart, you ask?
And the shroud tightens around your neck, trapping you inside w/ all you refuse to face, in order to live.
Failed bridges lost to foolish spite, where once Love carried the burdens of joy.
The ache in your heart, yes.....that hollow feeling is felt by its true half that, which you cleaved from my chest for no more than your selfish want...
