Comparative Analysis: Human Being to a Bird

    SUSTENANCE

THE BIRD STAYS CLOSE TO THE NEST UNTIL HE LEARNS TO FLY

WE STAY CLOSE TO OUR MOMMIES BREAST UNTIL WE LEARN TO SUSTAIN

    BIRD FLY,

    BIRD SUPPLY,

     WE WORK,

    WE SAVE,

THE BIRD DASHES DANGEROUSLY, DODGING HOT STEEL, TO GET THAT PIECE OF FOOD

WE COMPETE, WE COPE, WE ENDURE HARDSHIP, STRESS TO MAINTAIN A STANDARD

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
