    Happiness

    Happiness is a faraway island

    With candy coated flowers

    And milk chocolate-covered dreams

    Happiness is a voyage

    to a never ending rainbow,

new colors in an ongoing spectrum

Happiness is a splash in the pool,

    a gleaming hot summer’s day

Happiness is a gold-paved road to freedom,

    a tall prison behind

Happiness is a feeling deep in your Heart to find

    Happiness is a Faraway Island

So far, yet you can feel it

I like how you envision happiness. Gleaming hot, very descriptive. I wonder, as I read this ,if you are hoping to find ,or already have found, this faraway island, and are you going back or waiting still?

Mama, I think everyone's quest is for happiness and I deem happiness as success ... haven't quite attained it yet, but I'm close. Thank you for looking and listening.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
